Gavin’s philosophy as a coach is; manage your energy, keep things simple, do it well, do it often and trust the process.

Gavin graduated with BSc Hons in Sports Science from Ulster University and has experience coaching in high-performance sport across multiple sports as a Physical Performance Coach. While working for the SportScotland Institute of Sport he worked across multiple sports including swimming, tennis, women’s football, hockey, curling, cricket, and golf, before returning home to work as an Athletic Development Coach for Ulster Rugby Academy.

Gavin is a people-centred coach, comfortable working with all ages and abilities – whether it’s returning to perform in your sport or helping you build a programme optimal for you. He believes in learning from all areas in life and sports with the view of applying it in practice.

Working with our Physical Performance Coach will help you develop the best training programme for you. Through a process of screening and understanding your training history Gavin will build an effective programme, enabling you to train with intent and become the best version of yourself. Having a programme is one thing but ensuring exercise selection is appropriate and you are executing exercises correctly is key to your development athletically. Through coaching you can be comfortable you are doing the right exercises – at the right time – in your journey to performance.
