After his family moved to Australia from Belfast, Matt developed a love for all things sport related, especially basketball and weightlifting. The warmer weather was a welcome benefit. Matt completed his Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at Sydney and went on to study his Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University. Matt now returns to sunny Northern Ireland after 20 years to get back to his roots whilst hoping to aid people from all walks of life to get back from injury to what they love doing.

Physiotherapy evolved as a natural progression for Matt to satisfy both being involved in sports and biomechanics, with the added bonus of being able to help people achieve their goals. Over the years Matt’s physiotherapy knowledge & passion was shared at Hakoah Premier League Football Club, Sydney Grammar Basketball and was Head of S&C for Scots College.

Matt strives to get clients back to their goals as safely and effectively as possible through tailoring treatment strategies to the individual, in a shared alliance between client and practitioner. Using a variety of manual therapy techniques including soft tissue mobilisation & Dry needling, Matt seeks to empower people to strive for their absolute best;  optimising quality of life and/or sporting performance while the end goal is to be walking out of the clinic the best they have ever been.
