Comprehensive Management of athletes and non-athletes
Assessment – Neuro-musculo-skeletal diagnosis/impression where possible. If onward referral is needed to aid in diagnosis, we can deliver rapid access to scans such as X-ray, MRI, US or CT. We can also refer you to many of the best Specialists at home or further afield.
NB An accurate diagnosis is often not possible without the aid of radiological investigations and often these can’t necessarily give us the exact answers we’re looking for.
Treatment – Best practice, and where possible evidence-based treatment eg. manual therapy, dry needling, taping/strapping, soft tissue/fascial techniques, Sarah Key approach etc.
Rehabilitation – Comprehensive and specific rehabilitation plans tailored to your sporting requirements, be it post-surgical, to the final stages of return to play.
Specialist in the management of tendon injuries – Lower limb tendinopathy expertise.
Screening and profiling – Predicting problems with expert screening and analysis (sport-specific functional screening; FMS/SFMA; Performance Matrix; Physical Competencies).
Sport and athlete specific injury reduction programmes – Sport (eg soccer FIFA 11+, Activate GAA warm-up) and/or athlete programmes designed for individuals or groups.
Long-Term Athletic Development – Physical competence is a priority in the development of young athletes, yet its omission can cause repercussions throughout an athlete’s life. Many injuries/disorders can be reduced or controlled by a sound functional development programme (Giles, 2006).
Injury and performance related strength and conditioning – We work in collaboration with HENCH to build a more complete package.
Statsports™ Viper Pod – Player performance monitoring and analysis system.
Pitch side trauma – Individual game or tournament cover available. Current qualification – FA Advanced Resuscitation + Emergency Aid (AREA).
National and international travel with teams and athletes – Highly experienced in worldwide travel with teams. All necessary services can be catered for, be it as a sole practitioner or in collaboration with other sports medicine/science staff.
